Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) delivered a searing, historic dissection of Republican Rep. Ted Yoho (FL) regarding his alleged vile words; what she considers to be a pathetic apology; and the powerful men and women in America who enable such behavior.

Congressman Yoho resigned Friday from the board of a prominent Christian advocacy organization, Bread for the World, after the group asked him to step down.

Being a Fucking Bitch Isn’t Only a Woman’s Burden
Writing in liberal, feminist HuffPost, Emily Post claimed AOC’s remarks were an “eloquent dismantling of the playbook men have used to keep women in their place for centuries.”
Emily describes how AOC stood on the floor of Congress to slowly and carefully repeat the words Yoho muttered to himself: Fucking Bitch. She proceeded to tear it all down by shining light on a dehumanizing process that has long been in the shadows and mostly accepted as a woman’s burden. We must remember men suffer such inhumane treatment as well. The privileged and powerful degrade both males and females.
As a disciple of John Lewis, whenever I’ve seen something that is wrong or unjust, I’ve said something. This compassion for my fellow human beings has cost me jobs and promotions. I’ve been arrested, beat and tortured. I’ve sought no awards or applause. This is simply how my parents raised all their children.
Hawaiian Electric recently fired me due to my disability. Suffered tremendous pain and limited mobility for over a decade. My physical impairments and medication have never effected work performance. There are 30,000+ similar patients in Hawai’i. We’re all considered to be Fucking Bitches. Coincidentally, today is the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
In observing the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26, we are provided with an opportunity to help clarify that true equity means recognizing the relationship between civil rights and disability rights, and the importance of radically inclusive social justice.
Now is the time to correct the wrongs that have left disabled people feeling excluded and invisible. Not one among us will reach the proverbial mountain top believing that some of us must be left behind to get there; it’s either all of us or none of us — that’s the only choice.

Since 2014, I’ve supported and donated money to my U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. Most recently I served her presidential campaign. She refused over 100 requests from our family for help. Won’t accept my phone calls or answer repeated emails.

I’ve pleaded and begged her gracious and distinguished father, Hawai’i State Senator Mike Gabbard, to intercede on my behalf. My female representative has received many awards and accolades, yet ignores and dehumanizes me like a Fucking Bitch. She had no love or compassion in her heart for our family.
Hawaiian Electric HR director, Shana Buco, fired me February 25th. Yet her associate, Liz Deer, told me I would “be fine” when I specifically inquired about my disability and medication February 14th. I even received official notificaton of my hire by IT Security, Herman Lau, on February 20th.
He had doubled-checked with Buco’s office to be sure, as he was assigned to set up my computer and email accounts. Confirmed my official start date would be February 25th.
In my previous conversations with Shana, she was kind, compassionate and delightful — as were all I had served at the company. We had a pleasant and professional relationship. On February 25th, she classified me a criminal engaged in illegal behavior.

She claimed I was a danger to coworkers, the company and general public. I’m a medical cannabis patient. She slandered me claiming I was intoxicated and impaired in the workplace. Never was.
Shana knew of my disability and medication February 18th. I had been with the company over six months. Over 30 Hawaiian Electric professionals knew me closely. None considered me a Fucking Bitch. They valued me and offered me a permanent position with their distinguished IT group.
As a computer geek, I’m considered a non-safety sensitive employee. Never in my IT career has a company been concerned about my disability or medication. I medicate only at night before bed; never prior to or during work. My performance reviews are stellar.
Shana dehumanized me like a Fucking Bitch. For over six months, she and the company had no concern about my medication or of 1,000s of contractors working for Hawaiian Electric. I informed HR on February 14th. Shana did not disqualify me or raise an objection. The testing facility informed Shana around February 18th. She did not discuss the matter with me; nor did she terminate my employment.
Instead, her office confirmed my official hire. She authorized me to tell coworkers, managers, friends and family. She allowed me to come to work February 25th to start my new role. She fired me in front of everyone around 11am.
Why did Shana Buco bring me to work? Why didn’t she call my manager Sunday night, explain the situation and direct me not to come in. This female career HR professional brought me to work and dehumanized me; embarrassed and humiliated me; and she treated me like a Fucking Bitch.
Hawaiian Electric’s legal team refused my request to meet and discuss the confusion. Thao Tran and Susan Li forced me to spend $5,000 for an attorney just to start a conversation. They lied in their formal letter claiming the company had been unaware of my disability and medication prior to their decision to terminate me.
Michael M. Kusaka, MD, Straub Occupational Health Services, officially notified the company February 19th. Please Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez … they claimed I engaged in illegal activity and consider me dangerous. HR director Shana Buco now appears to blackball/blacklist me. Hawai’i Democrats won’t help us. Will you?
How is this situation any different from the disgusting treatment you received from your colleague? Both men and women in America are treated like Fucking Bitches. Too many powerful and privileged people condescend and dehumanize us. When does this end?
Hawai’i Democrats Tolerate Inhumane Treatment
I appealed to Governor Ige numerous times. Ignored me. Wrote to my good friend, Lt. Governor Josh Green, MD. He passed my concerns to his Chief of Staff, Jeremy Lakin. Jeremy denied my request for assistance. Begged all Honolulu city counselors, the mayor and Hawai’i elected officials. Almost all are Democrats here. None offered to assist in any way. I’m just a Fucking Bitch to them.
As required by law, I filed a complaint with the Hawai’i Civil Rights Commission. The agency appears to be loyal to Hawaiian Electric, not the civil rights of human beings (see history). Officials refuse to allow my grievance to proceed. On their website, they advertise they’re open for business:

CEO Connie Lau demands employees, officers and directors of HEI companies work hard and devote their efforts to building a company of which all can be proud. She expects all to engage in ‘imi pono — to strive to be righteous.
She reminds everyone the “reputation of the HEI companies and their traditions of excellent are a direct reflection and result of your commitment to our company’s core values and your integrity and efforts on the job and in the community.” Yet the hypocritical CEO treats me and our family like we’re Fucking Bitches.
Hawaiian Electric CEO & President Constance Hee Lau, her executive board, and senior corporate managers comfortably apply the playbook AOC claims “men have used to keep women in their place for centuries.”
As John Lewis taught those committed to building a better world, we must continue to shine the light on dehumanizing processes that have for too long been in the shadows.
