I recently met a sweet, compassionate, adorable woman on Facebook. Julie Hanselman describes herself as an “old hippie.” She’s a Facebook warrior, a social and political activist. She INTENDS to influence friends and readers. Julie’s overflowing with love, tenderness, empathy for others and joy. She lobbies now for gun control and an end to gun violence. I learned she’s an unwitting part of the gun violence problem. Sadly, she’s also an Accessory to Murder. She’s not alone. Mothers across the nation infect their young boys with murderous and violent behavior. My mother did. American mothers claim they love their sons, while they turn us into murderous souls.
An accessory must generally have knowledge that a crime is being, or will be committed. A person with such knowledge may become an accessory by helping or encouraging the criminal in some way. The assistance to the criminal may be of any type, including emotional or financial assistance as well as physical assistance or concealment.
Julie posted a “cute” video of her young son on Facebook. Mac is happy playing with his bow and arrow. Seems harmless, right? Wrong! Julie and America’s mothers do not give their young daughters weapons of mass destruction. Girls get a doll or tea set. They learn to nurture, care and cooperate with humanoids. American parents give boys weapons. Mac learns weapons are fun. Mac learns to point weapons at humanoid creatures. He runs toward his target, he aims, he shoots. Success if he hits his target; failure if he misses.
While America’s daughters learn to cooperate, Mac is learning to kill. His core brain stem associates weapons with laughter and male play. In the video, Julie says, “Don’t hurt me!” Mac learns people are afraid of him when he points his weapon at them. This teaches him power. He learns he can hurt someone he doesn’t like. This teachers Mac how to protect and defend. With a population of some 320 million Americans, some 160 million boys, if just ONE PERCENT of boys abuse this training, we have 1.6 million possible shooters — boys who believe weapons and violent behavior will solve their problems.
When, not if, Mac gets pissed (we all get upset), his primary instinct will be to hurt those who angered him. His brain pathways will trigger memories of experiences such as this with his bow and arrow. The brain doesn’t differentiate between play v. reality. The brain follows pre-programmed wiring — the programming Americans instill in their young boys.
Julie is an American. She is insane and her disease is incurable at this point. Please don’t unfriend me, Julie. All Americans are insane and our disease is incurable at this point. We are the most violent people on the planet. We solve problems using violence. It began in 1776 and we have been at war some 93 percent of our short history. We have the most bloated and wasteful military budget in the history of the world. We invest in guns, not our people.
Our disease exploded post-WWII. Compare the USA to Japan or Germany today. Japan has virtually zero gun deaths. We are the world leader. As Japan was the loser in WWII, guns were removed — codified by Japanese law with a 1958 act stating, “No person shall possess a firearm or firearms or a sword or swords.” The Japanese were humiliated by their (failed) war culture. The world disgraced them. As such, their society evolved to shun guns and gun violence.
America won WWII — because we had bigger and more powerful weapons. We learned to LOVE the bomb and bullets. These became our gods. You can take away the gun, but even anti-gun and anti-gun violence advocates, such as Julie, continue our Gun Culture.
Republican George W Bush rushed us into war in 2003. Democratic leaders, such as Hillary Clinton, stood by his side. War is the method to solve our problems. This led to the evolution of Daesh, commonly called ISIS here. Democratic President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary interfered with the government of Syria, using some ISIS forces to destabilized the Bashar al-Assad government. Americans do not talk about Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya or Syria today. We’re fatigued with war footing. We cry about the loss of 17 Americans at a Florida school on Valentine’s Day and ignore that some 500 human beings were killed in Syria — including more than 120 children. This is our exported violence: our weapons; our money; our policies; our national insanity and social disease!
Guns Or Butter
I’m a political economist. As a student of macroeconomics, professors used a simplified model to describe national spending. Due to limited resources, every society would need to balance the “guns or butter” model. It demonstrates the relationship between a nation’s investment in defense and civilian goods. The society can buy either guns (invest in defense/military) or butter (invest in production of goods), or a combination of both.
In a speech on January 17, 1936, Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels stated:
“We can do without butter, but, despite all our love of peace, not without arms. One cannot shoot with butter, but with guns.” Referencing the same concept, sometime in the summer of the same year another Nazi official, Hermann Göring, announced in a speech: “Guns will make us powerful; butter will only make us fat.”
The Columbia World of Quotations. Columbia University Press. 1996.
Americans have both. Guns have made us powerful. Our abundance of butter has made us fat. We are sick and diseased. Julie and others want to take away AR-15 assault-type rifles. Won’t work. Boys are trained in hundreds of weapons. I had knives, swords, light sabers, nerf guns, cap guns, BB guns, air rifles, toy machine guns, grenade and missile launchers, as a kid. Then I trained with hunting rifles for deer or elk and shotguns for skeets or birds. By the time I got to the military, I was an expert marksman. I shot the M-16 accurately. I fired the .50 caliber confidently. I was deadly accurate, best in my class, with the 105mm howitzer leading the US Army to assign me to Fort Sill, Oklahoma for artillery officer training. Thanks Hasbro and Mattel. Thanks Remington and Smith & Wesson. Thanks mom and dad. Thanks America!
You put KILLING in my brain. You taught me to use weapons to solve conflict. I wasn’t born with these tendencies. You gave my sisters compassionate and peaceful toys. You made me diseased and insane. Now, some call me toxic. I wasn’t born this way. I am simply the product of a diseased and insane America.
Live by the sword; die by the sword. America and the world are dying!
UPDATE: Facebook BLOCKED me for posting a link to this article. Facebook and the Media love violence — if it bleeds, it leads — as they say in journalism.
