This week, my former Congresswoman and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard fled the Democratic Party due to their outrageous White-shaming, racism and divisive behavior. Tulsi and her family know racism. Her father, Hawai’i state senator Mike Gabbard, of Samoan heritage, recalls as a younger man that he was not allowed to sip water from “Whites Only” drinking fountains here in Hawai’i.
Senator Gabbard suffered excruciatingly painful discrimination, as did young Tulsi. They could have become bitter and full of hate. Both rejected these negative behaviors to further aloha in our world — and on mainland, Americans substitute love for aloha.
Tulsi said in her emotional plea to America:
“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.”
“If you can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me.”
Tulsi Gabbard
I’m a life-long Democrat. My first presidential vote was for Jimmy Carter. Worked for his campaign. Still consider Jimmy to be my favorite president. He’s volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. Think of that … former president of the United States of America and he’s building homes for less fortunate people. He represents Democrats of yesteryear.
However, I left the Democratic Party during the primary season of Election 2016. Tulsi resigned her VP position with the DNC, as Hillary and the DNC got caught obstructing Bernie Sanders. Hillary was one of the most prepared political candidates in U.S. history — yet she cheated.
Hillary’s behavior showed how insecure she was feeling the Bern. Americans loved Bernie. Although millions respected Hillary, she did not connect well. Hillary comes across as cold and aloof. She was tremendously jealous of the love America showered on this old, White Jewish man.
As an independent, Bernie caucuses with Democrats, but maintains his political distance. Bernie feels Democrats like Hillary and Joe Biden are too beholden to Corporate America and the U.S. military industrial complex.
Both he and Tulsi have criticized Democrats for their “regime change wars.” Both want more emphasis on improving the lives of the American middle class.
Today, Democratic supporters spend their time on social media attacking others — not building homes — while tearing down our nation and those who don’t subscribe to their Little Red Books of political etiquette.
A friend of mine, Julie Hillebrant, a woman who graduated from my high school and attended the same university I did as an undergraduate, has joined the ranks of anti-White racists driven by cowardly wokeness and divide our population with their self-righteous attitudes.
We were the Rams: Right Attitude Means Success. So who is Julie Hillebrant today?

Vote As If Your Skin Is Not White
Julie Hillebrant posted a meme asking readers to “Vote as if your skin is not white.” What does that mean exactly? In Election 2020, Joe Biden said, “If you have a problem figuring out if you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t Black.” Remember?
About 100% of Black women voted for Joe, while some 90% of Black men supported Joe. Joe picked Kamala Harris, considered a Black woman, for VP. Harris is part Indian (India), although her grandparents apparently owned slaves in Jamaica.
One of the top cultural movies today, The Woman King, portrays a group of all-female Black warriors who protect the African kingdom of Dahomey with skills and fierceness unlike anything the world has ever seen. These amazing Black women also rounded up and captured millions of poor Black folks, which they sold into slavery.
Black people sold Black people into slavery. White people in England, France and the United States ended slavery. This truth doesn’t appeal to Democrats who prefer to divide over race.
As a prosecutor in California, Kamaka beat the crap out of poor Black men — many who were arrested for petty drug crimes — like the human beings President Biden recently pardoned. Kamala showed no empathy for Black folks as a prosecutor. Yet Julie Hillebrant voted for Kamala and champions her now.
For those of us in Hawai’i, we believe Tulsi bested Kamala in the presidential debates, which forced Harris to withdraw. Biden wasn’t interested in the most qualified candidate, as Tulsi had proven her mettle. Biden wanted the Black vote. Politics over competency.
What Is a White Vote?
This returns us to Julie’s original racist statement. What is a White vote? First, who are White people? People with light skin in America come from an extremely diverse background. Is Julie speaking about people from the Scandinavian nations, i.e., Finland, Holland, Denmark or Sweden? Most of these people would be Social Democrats similar to Bernie Sanders.
Would they be from central Europe, such as England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Belgium, Switzerland or Germany? I guess we can say dearly departed Queen Elizabeth might represent such people. Julie Hillebrant apparently has issues with the queen.
Julie probably aligns with Meghan Markel, the Duchess of Sussex, who has embarrassed our entire nation with her childish, entitled and privileged behavior, and been virtually kicked out of the royal family’s inner circle.
Or is Julie speaking about people from southern Europe — Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece? Or how about Russians or those from Eastern Europe?
So, Julie, who are White people? Julie refused to respond when I asked:
“I don’t owe you anything. It’s my thread. I don’t believe it’s racist. That’s all the explanation I will give.”

Many people on social media make this mistake. I didn’t go to Julie’s page or seek her out. She posted in the public and her comments came to MY newsfeed.
I responded, “Julie, your thread comes to MY newsfeed. How is this statement NOT racist?
Vote as if your skin is NOT White. It’s 100% about race.”
Julie deployed the Democratic Party’s next weapon: Block and Cancel Me Then
“Block me then.”

I responded, “Julie, I’m not a Democrat anymore because Democrats form the Cancel Culture. I believe you have the right to your opinion. I have an obligation to challenge your uncivil remarks. If you don’t like these rules on MY newsfeed, you are FREE to unfriend me and go elsewhere.”
And, just like that, friends for some 50 years are now divided and alienated. This is the outcome of the Democratic Party’s strategy. This is the behavior Tulsi is criticizing. To be successful, we must work together — not divide.
When I first joined Democrats, we boasted of a Big Tent where everyone was welcomed. Now the tent is small — exclusive — and one is only welcome if they proselytize the party line. China’s Mao would be so very proud of modern Democrats.
Second, how do White people vote? Julie has no idea. As Tulsi said, the “Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism …”
Her friend, Graham Garner, claims “conservatives I know seem to believe there is a superior religion, a superior nation, a superior language, a superior sexual orientation, a superior gender binary, a superior race or any combination of the above. They think poor people are poor for their own laziness or weakness and not because of an inequal system. I’ve not seen much compassion from conservatives for people who are different than them, let alone a vision of equality.”
These political Leftists have no idea what they are saying or who they are criticizing. Their utterances and posts simply divide and leave them feeling personally superior to all those around them.
I responded to Graham point-by-point:
conservatives I know seem to believe there is a superior religion: They’re likely Christian and believe their religion is “true” — as do all religions: Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Mormonism, Catholicism, etc. Yes, all religions do this.
a superior nation: YES, conservatives do believe this fact! And shame on you for not recognizing the superiority of the USA.
a superior language: FALSE. However, this nation was founded on speaking English. When we don’t speak a common language, we can’t speak to each other.
a superior sexual orientation: Not superior but NORMAL. If we were a nation of gay people, our species would die out.
a superior gender binary: There are TWO sexes: Male and Female. Gender is in one’s head.
a superior race: FALSE
Conservatives believe poor people are poor for their own laziness or weakness and not because of an unequal system. TRUE. Everyone can make a living. Some choose not to work hard. And conservatives, along with this great nation, SPEND trillions of dollars each year to help people have a fair opportunity.
I’ve not seen much compassion from conservatives for people who are different than them, let alone a vision of equality. EVERYONE is different. NOBODY is the same. You group people together in many divisive ways.
What is Modern Liberalism?
Modern liberalism is best understood today by the example of WNBA basketball player Brittney Griner. She’s Black — however, America respects and worshipped her; She’s gay — however, America welcomes her.
And BG is a F*CKING criminal … she’s a medical cannabis patient, like me! We all know the rules. Legal in our specific state; but illegal by USA standards. Brittney received ALL the privileges of America. She was blessed — not equal — treated far better than Average Jane and Joe.
What does Brittney do? She spits on the US flag; refuses to stand for the national anthem; claims America is a racist, cis nation. Then carries ILLEGAL cannabis through US airports; through Russian airports — where this activity is illegal; known to be illegal; people go to prison illegal.
Brittney violated the law — then WHINES and BLAMES others by claiming she was rushed to pack. The USA rushed her; Russia rushed her. Wasn’t her fault. She isn’t responsible for this illegal activity. BG claims she deserves a pass.
And, during a terrible, tragic war where 1,000s are murdered and injured, Brittany and her wife Cherelle demand President Biden and the USA save her sorry, woke/broke A$$. She interferes with a war effort to save Ukrainians with her selfishness and privilege.
That, my friends, is the liberal position in the USA at this time. Like Tulsi Gabbard, I left the Democratic party due to this attitude of privilege and entitlement. I’m not Republican. I’m independent. You should join us.
In conclusion, Conservatives don’t consider others inferior based on their demographic profile; the political Left believes their members are superior — to law and tradition. This divisive and alienating behavior needs to stop.
