Statistics show YOUNG people are fleeing Facebook. They prefer Instagram and SnapChat at this time. Facebook is becoming a meeting spot for the “over 30 crowd.” Spammers love this, as this demographic group has the most money. Kids and teens are fickle.
Yet Facebook cannot control their product. It’s clear today foreign interests manipulated Facebook during Election 2016. I’m an IT professional. I discovered how spammers and FAKE NEWS groups work. They use Key Words to trigger automated posts.
In anticipation of the movie, Black Panther, opening this weekend, I made a posts and immediately received automated spam advertisements. The Key Words, Movie … Black … Panther, triggered the spam.
To test my theory, I posted a second comment. This time I specifically tested whether a human or robot was parsing my words. A human wouldn’t spam after I wrote what I did. A robot could not consider the context of my comment.
Yep! Clearly a robot. Now, for fun, I posted a negative review of the movie. Again, a human would know not to spam this comment. The third test confirmed by hypothesis. Facebook is an extremely dangerous tool for democracy and our market economy.
Key words could have included Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, for example. Facebook has rushed to make BILLIONS; they cannot control their social media platform.
I believe the YOUTH of America have figured it out. Get The F___ Off Facebook!
