Each year, during the days between Christmas and New Year’s, we all face the most strange week of the calendar. It’s a week in limbo. Only the most essential people are working. The privileged are vacationing, traveling or pursuing one of their wildest dreams.
RESOLUTIONS are on the minds of many. A dear friend of mine, closest person to my brother, wrote a BOOK THIS YEAR. We trained together for years as both of us pursued a professional basketball career. Jeff earned one of the few coveted spots in the NBA. I was close, but close only counts in Corn Hole and horseshoes.
Both of us are risk takers. One cannot learn to surf without many wipeouts. Same with any professional sport or career endeavor. The question to you at this point is are YOU fulfilling your life purpose?
Maybe you want to lose fat pounds, a common pursuit. Maybe you need to make more money in the upcoming year, another common focus. Or maybe you simply feel your life is missing the “spark” that you believe it should have. Maybe?

NBA legend Jeff Lamp provides an easy-to-read motivation account of the power inside each of us to “be the best we can be.” From his perspective, Jeff believes we are destined, more specifically “called by name,” to do more — not only to fulfill our lives, but to help others. That is our purpose in this life.
So, what are you waiting for? Look in the mirror. How mamy years have passed you by: 20, 40, 60? Never too late to ignite that AWE and WONDER about life, and your true purpose. Purpose is challenging, but there is so much joy in the pursuit of challening your purpose. Ask any surfer who catches the dream wave of the day; or the ball player after throwing down a monster dunk; or the young mother looking into the eyes of her newborn child.
Begin today! Fulfill your purpose. If you need a bit of motivation, you can find JEFF’S DELIGHTFUL, ENTERTAINING AND ENGAGING BOOK on Amazon.
