There’s an adage that a stupid person doesn’t know he is stupid, and this idea is supported by the Dunning-Kruger effect, a cognitive bias where people with low ability in a specific area overestimate their competence. Hinol Mokiao Kekuia Keoki, or Keoks, introduces himself on social media as a “Handsome Kanaka Maoli living a great life with my Ohana in Ko Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina.”

UPDATE 11.11.25: Ashley Reyes Mojica Displays Her Racism and Hate
Scott Goold — Regardless, you know deep down, you don’t belong to here, haole. You and your ilk have been a virus around the world. In the end, everybody will hate the Americans, for all their dirty tricks are contradicted by real events. You know it in your heart and soul. You have power but it’s only temporary. Hawaiians don’t respect you. And you know it’s them that truly own the place.

Ashley Reyes Mojica claims to have studied at University of Guam – UOG, and at University of Hawaii – West Oahu. Didn’t learn much. Notice how she benefited from America. Standing on her sailboat, living the dream in Hawai’i, this spoiled, privileged and entitled young wahine hates on Americans — calling Americans a “virus around the world.” Ashley is fortunate to live in the richest nation and most powerful nation in the history of the world. She didn’t serve in the military.
On this Veteran’s Day, Ashley Reyes Mojica shows no respect or gratitude, although benefiting from the BLOOD shed by our Veterans and national heroes. Americans don’t respect freeloaders like Ashley Reyes Mojica.
UPDATE 11.11.25: Jeremiah Keohuloa Proved to be a RACIST Asshole
Stupid people aren’t simply stupid and don’t know it, many are racist assholes — especially in Hawai’i. They lie about history in the islands, or just don’t know due to poor education. However, while many claim to be Kanaka, many do not live pono (righteous) or with aloha (kindness and love). They are for lack of a better label: RACIST ASSHOLES.

Jeremiah Keohuloa engaged me in this discussion:
Scott Goold — the truth is you no own shit or belong here faka you one AMERICAN CITIZEN not one HAWAIIAN NATIONAL
GO THE FUCK HOME TO AMERICA AND BE AMERICAN THERE GET THE FUCK OUT
THIS IS KO HAWAII PAE AINA
USC TITLE 28 91Show me a treaty or STFU HAOLE
LMFAO 🤣 😆 😂 🤡

“Show me a treaty” is a common debate argument used by uneducated Kanaka. They claim falsely that a treaty between the U.S. government and the Kingdom of Hawai’i was needed for the U.S. government to annex the islands. Maybe. However, Queen Lili’uokalani abdicated the throne in 1895, and pledged loyalty to the Republic of Hawai’i. The queen recognized officially and legally that the Republic of Hawai’i was the legitimate government in the islands.
Thus, the U.S. government never negotiated with the Kingdom of Hawai’i … as the Kingdom of Hawai’i no longer existed after 1895. The U.S. government negotiated with the Republic of Hawai’i only. And the Republic of Hawai’i, under the leadership of President Sanford Dole, requested U.S. annexation. Thus, no treaty was needed. Simple as that. Pau. Yet assholes like Jeremiah Keohuloa continue their racist, hateful, divisive and uneducated behavior toward White Americans in the islands.

After I politely informed Jeremiah Keohuloa that he was mistaken legally, he responded with more uneducated and remarks:
Scott Goold — Country only do diplomacy through a treaty you don’t have one ☝️ 🤣 LMFAO
Newlands resolution has no meets and bounds
Organic act no meets and bounds
USC TITLE 28 91 no meets and bounds
🤣 LMFAO 🤣

Consider how uneducated Jeremiah Keohuloa has to be. He said, “Country only do diplomacy through a treaty.” President Trump just met with President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China. The two nations do not have a treaty. However, both engaged in diplomacy. How can people have civil, intelligent discussions with people who simply are stupid but don’t know they are stupid?
Being nice doesn’t work. Kanaka such as Jeremiah Keohuloa consider “nice” to be weakness. Seeking to educate doesn’t work. Kanaka such as Jeremiah Keohuloa believe they know everything. Decent, moderate and compassionate Americans are at a loss for words — in the islands and across the nation. All they can do is scream !!!
Hoping to educate Jeremiah Keohuloa about the political realities, I pointed out neither King David Kalākaua nor Queen Lydia Lili’uokalani had a treaty of protection with the U.S. government or any other government for that matter: England, Canada, Japan, Russia. I compared to NATO: North Atlantic Treaty Organization, signed by 32 member nations. If one country is attacked, the remaining 31 will come to that nation’s defense. The Kingdom of Hawai’i had NO TREATY of Protection.
So, Jeremiah Keohuloa, show me the Kingdom of Hawai’i TREATY of Protection. His response, more foul, uncivil insults and ridicule:
Scott Goold — I’m shaking in my boots 🥾 LMFAO!! oooh the dumb American is maaaaddd lmfao
You probably never served in any military service before lmfao 🤡

Now you understand why Americans, particularly White Americans, do not respect or feel sorry for the Kanaka. Americans are compassionate people. However, when Americans are unjustly hated and mistreated, Americans have NO compassion for the rude and uncivil people.
Jeremiah Keohuloa ended our discussion:
Scott Goold — LMFAO 🤣 😝 😆 WTF YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT FAKA!! LMFAO COME TO ME KEYBOARD WARRIOR I SHOW YOU MY TREATY 🤡
You talk alot of shit 💩 with no evidence to back it up your so stupid you can’t comprehend your own lies and policy’s 😝 😆 😂
WHERES THE TREATY BITCH ?? Go find it AMERICAN 🇺🇸 GOOD DOG 🐶 FETCH fetch 😝 😆 😂

Most importantly, Jeremiah Keohuloa shows how Kanaka men behave: uneducated, uncivil and unkind. They think violence and toxic male aggressive is the solution for lack of education. For these reasons, smart, powerful Kanaka wahine, such as Ke Ali’i Pauahi and Queen Lydia Lili’uokalani, shunned Kanaka males and married White American men.
UPDATE 11.10.25: Keoks added more false misinformation to our discussion. I post the entire comment here so readers can understand how Kanaka poison our local community with hateful and divisive rhetoric. Their leaders failed. Their ancestors failed. Rather than accept this truth, modern Kanaka blame Americans and White people.
My ancestors failed. I admit that. They also succeeded. I work to correct their shortcomings. I honor their success. I also admit that as a human being, I’m not perfect either. Kanaka like Keoks can’t admit his failures and shortcomings. Thus, he cannot move forward successfully. He languishes in the past — in a world that never existed. He cannot compete today; cannot make a living; and likely will be living homeless on the street one day or relocate to Vegas.
Keoks’ comments in BLACK. My response in BLUE.
Scott Goold — Kalakaua was a drunk , yup in debt.
Yes, Kalakaua was a drunk. King Kamehameha V tried to limit alcohol in the kingdom, as it was poisoning and killing Kanaka.
Our Queen was to Aloha to the people who treated her like a criminal in her own home.
Most officials and people liked Queen Lydia Lili’uokalani. They were respectful and admired Lydia when she ascended to the throne in 1891. However, Lydia wasn’t a competent queen. She faced constant criticism and struggled with legislators and kingdom officials. Even strong supporter Robert Wilcox believed Lydia needed to step down. Many wanted Princess Ka’iulani to assume the throne, although she was not yet an adult. However, Lydia proposed a new constitution — returning all power to her and funding the kingdom with a national lottery and taxes on sales of opium. LOCALS said enough of the incompetence. LOCALS placed Lydia on home arrest.
I never run and hide from the truth, infact I never run and hide from you either. Kalakaua and Our Queen was raised by missionaries, they were forced and manipulated to learn the ways of western culture and that’s what there downfall was reason for the cause of the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom Government.
Neither Kalakaua nor the Queen were raised by missionaries. Keoks “runs and hides from the truth.” Both attended Royal School and were educated in the ways of western culture, as Kanaka kings & queens wanted. Kamehameha I invited the outsiders. He partnered with the British. He gave the British power and land in exchange for British weapons of mass destruction. Kamehameha I turned these long guns and cannons on the Kanaka people to conquer the islands and become king. We see how Keoks distorts history and blames others.
With that been said I wasn’t raised by missionaries I was raised by Hawaiians who know how to fight, who struggled in your corrupt system who was angry and would and any moment take someone out for being disrespectful you know American culture.
Clearly Keoks and other Kanaka are angry. Why? King Kamehameha III offered their ancestors land. If they claimed land, kuleana lands, they would have this land today. Most did not. Not America’s problem. Not the fault of White people. Missionaries wrote the Kanaka alphabet, ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, and taught the Kanaka people to read & write. They were some of the most literate people in the world. The King set the rule; those who listened to the king received land. Can’t blame outsiders for the failure of their ancestors.
Now we’ve found ourselves, true identity finding real culture Hawaiian culture, Kanaka Maoli, you know the culture you try to imitate, the culture you pretend your (sic) from.
Awesome! Happy Keoks has found “himself.” Nobody has ever taken away Hawaiian culture. Missionaries STOPPED the hula, as Kanaka men were allowing their tanned, brown-skin and long brown-hair, beautiful wahine daughters to dance exotically TOPLESS before drunken sailors. Sailors in that day were criminals and bad men. They were raping and sexually assaulting the innocent Kanaka wahine. “Cover up and stop dancing for these bad men,” said the missionaries. The sailors were leaving innocent Kanaka wahine with STDs and unwanted pregnancies. Keoks blames the missionaries for teaching Christianity. Typical of Kanaka men. They still abuse their women today. Ask Fiji.
Because you live in my home and pretend your a descendant of Aloha bragging to your American Ohana how you live in my home paradise earth the Hawaiian Kingdom yet never be loyal to the people or to this place.
Keoks claims I live in “[his] home”??? Even if Keoks had land, I wouldn’t ask to live in his home. I’m happy where I live. I live in the 50th state in the United States of America, and Keoks shows the anger, hostility and lack of aloha in the Kanaka culture. My loyalty is to the U.S. Constitution and the American people. The Hawaiian Kingdom ended in 1895, when Queen Lydia Lili’uokalani pledged loyalty to the Republic of Hawai’i.
Your a loser because you want to pretend you not American, because if you was a proud American you would be living in America not living in our paradise in the Hawaiian Kingdom.
Keoks INSULTS. People who live aloha are respectful of the opinions and lifestyle of others. I’ve tried to be respectful to Keoks and Kanaka. They only insult, express their anger and hostility. They divide people and create disharmony in the islands. First, I’m proud to be an American. Second, I’m living in America. Third, as stated above, the Hawaiian Kingdom ended in 1895.
Mahalo for proving my point. We not failing you failing look it your country completely divided shut down yet you say we’re weak? Lol!
Keoks is correct that the U.S. democracy is divided. The world is divided. The Kanaka are divided today, and were historically. In the 1874 Hawaiian Kingdom election, former Queen Emma vs David Kalakaua, to decide who would next sit on the throne, the legislature selected David Kalakaua. Emma’s supporters, “Emmalites,” caused a riot in Honolulu that forced local officials to summon troops from two American and one British ship to calm the people. The courthouse riot looked similar to Trump’s January 6, 2021, assault on the national capital.
And yes, the government was shut down. The Congress appears to have resolved their political differences, and is in the process of re-opening. Nobody claimed “democracy” would not be messy. It is. However, the U.S.A. has stood for 238 years. The Hawaiian Kingdom stood for only 83 years.
Asians have more culture than you. That’s why you cling to others culture because you have none.
Keoks shows his lack of education here. There are MILLIONS of Asians in the U.S. — and Asians from many different nations. The U.S. is not one culture, but a melting pot or garden salad of cultures around the world. That’s the beauty of the United States of America; and similarly, the beauty of modern Hawai’i is the state is a melting pot or garden salad of people and cultures around the world. Keoks’ claim that I have no culture shows he has no education.
You criticize the people you pretend to want to be like. Typical hypocrite. You not us, you’ll always be an imitation of us!
LOL … funny guy! Keoks claims I want to be Kanaka. Why? Keoks cannot name one reason why I would want to be Kanaka. Even Ke Ali’i Pauahi married a White American man; Queen Lydia Lili’uokalani married a White American man. Many educated and powerful Kanaka wahine married White American or European men. They had no use for Kanaka males. Kanaka males tend to be insecure, uneducated and unable to provide for their families. They are blamers, not champions. They are whiners, not winners. They are wimps, not warriors. Kamehameha I was a warrior. The descending males have proven to be wimpy whiners, who cannot compete in the modern world.
You’ll never be us!
Correct! Don’t want to be you. Proud, happy and blessed to be an American.
You ain’t ever telling me what to do in my home I ain’t Kalakaua and I ain’t no Queen.
Correct! I’ve never told you what to do. You are free. Stop wasting your life. And, for sure, brah, you ain’t no Kalakaua or a queen.
By the way I’m never leaving my home
Nobody has ever asked you to leave. However, the world doesn’t owe any of us a living. To live in Hawai’i or any state in the U.S., you have to make a living. Best to be educated or else you end up making beds in hotels or serving food to visitors in restaurants.
Show me the treaty😂
💯🤙🏾🤙🏾If Keoks were educated, and knew about legal proceedings and the U.S. Constitution, he would be aware “no treaty” was needed for the U.S.A. to annex the Republic of Hawai’i in 1898. Queen Lydia Lili’uokalani formally recognized the Republic in 1895 as the legal, official government in the islands and abdicated the throne. Therefore the Republic had the legal, official right to request annexation by the U.S. government.
As the Republic requested annexation, no treaty between the two nations was needed. The U.S. Congress passed the Newlands Resolution in 1898, which was signed by President McKinley. The U.S. assumed $4 million in Hawaiian debt as part of the annexation, and the U.S. Supreme Court gave official recognition to the legitimacy of Hawaii’s annexation in DeLima v. Bidwell, 182 U.S. 1, 196 (1901).
The last princess, Victoria Kawēkiu Kaʻiulani Lunalilo Kalaninuiahilapalapa Cleghorn (Ka’iulani), who had been selected to be the next queen by Queen Lydia Lili’uokalani died in 1899 — leaving no heir to the throne.
The last prince, Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole, was elected in 1902 by local people in the islands to represent the Territory of Hawai’i in the U.S. Congress. Called Ke Aliʻi Makaʻāinana (Prince of the People), and remained the territory representative until his death in 1922.

UPDATE 11.6.25: Keoks clarified, “I’m not a native Hawaiian, I’m a kanaka maoli🤙🏾🤙🏾”
In response:
Many names and labels. Some say Kanaka ʻOiwi. And that’s ONE problem with the Kanaka lāhui. People came to Hawai’i from many different islands; not one. Came from many different countries after this; not one. Thus, the Native Hawaiian, Kanaka Maoli or Kanaka ʻOiwi people are NOT one, but many.
Nothing wrong with this … the United States of America is similar. Citizens came from everywhere. The U.S. motto: e pluribus unum — out of many, one.
In my book, I clarify that there are MANY different ways to reference the people who lived in these islands PRIOR to contact with outsiders. For simplicity, I simply say Kanaka. However, the Kanaka lāhui never UNITED. Kamehameha UNIFIED the island under ONE RULE — his rule. He failed to UNITE the Kanaka … had to KILL the Best Warriors; KILL the Best Minds to conquer and take control.
He then INVITED outsiders to be the “consultants” — to teach him and his family HOW to be part of the Global Community. Information & Knowledge is power. And to LEARN, he had to TRADE land & political power. The grandchildren of the “consultants” booted the monarchy — due to the incompetence and corruption of the monarchy. I’ll add this discussion to my story. Appreciate hearing from you.
You call it treason. You have the right to your opinion, but factually, you are wrong. And spinning a FALSE narrative makes the Kanaka individual and Kanaka lāhui weak. Leads to POOR education; Results in poor-paying jobs: and means many Kanaka will be forced from these islands.
Keep it up … Vegas is calling !!!

And in Hawai’i, the Native Hawaiian (Kanaka) lāhui is the most uneducated group in the state. They overstate their competence in local and national history, politics and social engagement.
Keoks claims he is a “public figure, who studied at Honolulu Community College, went to Nanakuli High and Intermediate School, lives in Kihei, Hawai’i, and is from Nanakuli, Hawai’i. As a public figure, his social and political comments are fair game for criticism.
Keoks posted today, “Hawaiian nationals/traitors of the Hawaiian Kingdom committed treasonous crimes against our kings and queen, disloyal and distrustful, similar to what you’re seeing happening in America today” 🤔

Keoks certainly has the right to his opinion. However, making such a claim in 2025 is moot (irrelevant). The Hawaiian Kingdom was ruled by kings and queens. If the kings and queens did not hang the “traitors,” then apparently the kings and queens did not consider the Hawaiian nationals to have committed treasonous crimes. The kings and queens were “in charge,” right?
Keoks makes reference to “America today.” Yes, there is an extremely powerful man in the White House who acts like he is a king or dictator. At present, some 68% of Americans are opposed to his overreach. And in last night’s Tuesday, November 4th off-year election, Democrats roared in disapproval. That’s the advantage of a democratic Constitutional Republic compared to a Constitutional Monarchy that existed in the 19th century in Hawai’i.

Treasonous Crimes
However, are Keoks’ claims about treasonous crimes valid? Let’s review history. Hawaiian Nationals STOOD UP to CORRUPTION in the monarchy. King David Kalākaua was a “drunk” — the Merry Monarch. He partied, traveled the world, and demanded an expensive custom ship, a royal navy, and ‘Iolani palace that had electric lighting before the U.S. White House … PAID for by TAXES on the Business Community.
And in 1887, the LOCALS put King David on a leash with the NEW constitution. King David knew he was wrong and SIGNED the agreement. The king signed. Thus, the action was not treasonous. King David could have arrested them all; hung them all. He did not.
LOCALS on the other hand did not cut off his head, as happened in the French revolution that began in 1789. LOCALS made David a ceremonial king, and the legislature ran the country — similar to England today with King Charles and Parliament. King Charles is respected, has much influence in the British government and society. King David accepted his limited role.
His sister Lydia, as Queen Lili’uokalani, disapproved of her brother’s capitulation. And like Democrats today, wanted to FLOOD the kingdom with immigrants, who she hoped would support her as queen and her policies. Queen Lydia wanted ALL the power restored to the throne. To fund her agenda, Lydia pledged not to raise taxes on the business community, but begin a national lottery and tax the sales of opium. LOCALS considered her proposal to be kooky and booted her from the throne in 1893.
At this time in Hawai’i, LOCALS do not allow a lottery or taxes on the sales of opium. In fact, state officials and LOCALS work hard to prevent illicit fentanyl and opioids from entering the state.
Keoks’ claims therefore are UNEDUCATED and the Kanaka brother exhibits “low ability in a this specific area of history and politics that overestimates his competence.”
White Supremacy
Keoks posted a second, and similarly uneducated, claim yesterday: Aloha Kakahiaka Kākou.
Caucasian people calling Caucasian people white supremest🤔This is the crazy world we live in💯
The Hawaiian Kingdom Illegally occupied since 1893.

This stupid comment truly is stupid. Caucasian (White) Americans called Caucasian KKK white supremacists for generations. Caucasian (White) Americans shed blood to fight NAZI white supremacists in Germany during World War II.
And, more personally to me, my ancestral White grandfather, Private Robert A Lower, of Company K, 55th Illinois Infantry (below) is a recipient of the Medal of Honor for his valor, bravery and heroics at the Civil War Siege of Vicksburg fighting Caucasian confederate soldiers to FREE Black slaves.

Not all White people think and act alike; not all Asian, Black, Latino or Pacific Islander people think and act alike. However, I’m beginning to believe all Kanaka think and act alike — and their uneducated behavior is quite disturbing.
Illegal Occupation
Keoks echoes a nearly unanimous false claim that the Hawaiian Kingdom has been illegally occupied since 1893. Similarly, Donald J Trump continues to claim he was cheated in Election 2020; that he actually won; and that the election of Joe R. Biden was illegal. The PEDOPHILE president can make the claim. There is no evidence to support this sore loser behavior.
As president #45, he and supporters challenged the election results SIXTY-TWO (62) times. Judges that he and Republicans had appointed, judges that Democrats had appointed, ALL SIXTY-TWO (62) denied his claims of election impropriety or interference.
In 1893, LOCALS charged the queen with treason and intent to incite violence in the kingdom. The Committee of Thirteen acted “legally,” per the laws of the kingdom constitution. Keoks can claim illegal, but like the 45th U.S. president, he has no proof. Queen Lydia appealed to U.S. President Cleveland. He was sympathetic but had no authority to act. U.S. President McKinley was not sympathetic.
The Blount report was sympathetic to her claims; the Morgan report was not and concluded actions were legal and legitimate. Neither authors of the reports however had power to restore the queen.
The key facts in this issue were the queen’s actions and statements herself. On January 24, 1895, Queen Lydia officially and formally FREELY abdicated the Kingdom of Hawai’i throne, and FREELY pledged her loyalty to the Republic of Hawai’i.
Oath of Loyalty to Republic of Hawai’i
Honolulu, Island of Oahu ss.
Hawaiian Islands.I, Liliuokalani Dominis, do solemnly swear in the presence of Almighty God that I will support the Constitution, Laws and Government of the Republic of Hawaii, and will not, either directly or indirectly, encourage or assist in the restoration or establishment of a Monarchial form of Government in the Hawaiian Islands.
[signed] Liliuokalani Dominis
Subscribed and sworn to this 24th day of January A.D. 1895 before me,
[signed] W L. Stanley
Notary Public [notary seal]
Keoks has the right to express his OPINION that the islands are occupied. We all agree people of all races, creeds, colors and ethnic background live here. He is not justified to claim ILLEGAL.
Keoks simply proves the adage: a stupid person doesn’t know he is stupid, and this idea is supported by the Dunning-Kruger effect, a cognitive bias where people with low ability in a specific area overestimate their competence.
