I did not agree with Charlie Kirk. Did not support Charlie Kirk in any way. The First Amendment provides wide latitude to Americans and guarantees their right to express their opinions and views. Charlie Kirk made many hateful comments. Over 75 MILLION Americans voted for Kamala Harris. Most of us objected to the comments of Charlie Kirk. None of us however killed him. We are tolerant people.
I posted one of Charlie Kirk’s hateful comments on social media, “Kirk refused to accept transgender people, or that a person could identify as a different gender than the one they were born as. He said he believed people who were transgender had a ‘mental illness’ and needed ‘brain treatment.'”
Sonia Murdock responded, “Scott Goold isn’t he entitled to his belief?” I answered, “Yes, he can believe what he wants. He can say what he wants. Hate however begets hate — and you see what happens when people turn to the Dark Side.”
Charlie could have said instead, “I don’t understand transgender people, but I love them just the same, as Jesus commanded ALL of us to love one another.”
Sonia responded, “Scott Goold do you want my address so you can come and murder me? I agree with Charlie. How about my children and grandchildren? How about most of my neighbors? People like you are so vile. You are the one spewing hate. Stephen king was spewing hate.” Weird, right?
Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from a privileged family of White Republican (MAGA) parents in southern Utah and a home filled with guns, developed deep disdain for the conservative activist’s provocative viewpoints and allegedly indicated to a family member that he was responsible for the shooting. That’s the risk a provocative activist takes when preaching hate; someone might hate in return.
People have asked me to share some of Charlie Kirk’s hateful rhetoric, as supporters on the political Right now seem motivated to whitewash his hurtful and divisive commentary. In Hawai’i, the Democratic Party is also aligned with Charlie Kirk to oppose the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

UPDATE 9.13.25: Civil Rights Act of 1964 PROTECTS Minority students
StarAd reported that the U.S. Department of Education decision could affect dozens of programs, hundreds of staff positions and thousands of students across the University of Hawaii’s 10-campus system, school officials said.
The Democratic Party of Hawai’i REFUSES to follow and respect the “spirt of the law” — Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits race discrimination in public institutions. The Democratic Party of Hawai’i REFUSES to follow and respect the “letter of the law” — Section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act of 1866, which prohibits race-based exclusion in private schools and contracts.
If the Democratic Party of Hawai’i wants to go “tribal” and ignore the law, then I’m going to stand with my tribe: White people. They have more money and better weapons. Tribalism HURTS minority students and staff in Hawai’i. Get it now?
The Democratic Party of Hawai’i says they “firmly oppose” the Virginia-based group Students for Fair Admissions attempt to “dismantle” Kamehameha Schools’ admission policy. SFFA dismantled Harvard’s policy. The policy discriminated against Asian Americans. They score the highest. Harvard was ignoring their hard work, pursuit excellence, and admitting less qualified students. SFFA forced Harvard to focus on merit.
Asians make up about 7% of the mainland population; over 50% of Hawaii’s population. SFFA’s work was beneficial for Asians in Hawai’i who sought to be admitted to top schools such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT and more. Hawai’i Democrats hate SFFA for helping Asians in the aloha state.
Kamehameha Schools denies Asians admission; denies Blacks admission; denies Latino students admission. And, of course, Kamehameha Schools denies admission to those despised White students — continuing to blame White Americans for the 1893 overthrow of the monarchy. No White student had anything to do with the events surrounding 1893. The ironic fact is 57% of the population is “non-White,” including Filipino (25%), Japanese (22%), Native Hawaiian (21%), Chinese (14%). [1]
The Democratic Party of Hawai’i supports this policy, and along with Charlie Kirk, condemns the principles of Civil Rights Act of 1964. Democrats passed the legislation. What happened to Hawai’i Democrats? DINOs? Democrats in name only?
Hawai’i Pretends to be a Multicultural Paradise
In 2019, the New York Times published an essay touting the benign nature of island ethnic relations, “Want to be less racist? Move to Hawai’i.” Kamehameha Schools must not have read the essay: White Students not wanted; Black Students not wanted; Asian Students not wanted; Latino Students not wanted. Quite racist.
The landmark 1964 U.S. federal law prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex or national origin in public accommodations, employment, schools and federally-funded programs. Princess Bernice Pauahi Pākī Bishop created one school for boys; one for girls. Schools became coeducational in 1965.
Her only mandate was that ALL teachers be of Protestant background. Her mandate was discriminatory based on religion and the school corrected their policy. Now, stop discriminating based on race, ancestry or national origin.
Imagine the position of the Kamehameha Schools board. There is one Kanaka teacher with 25 Kanaka students, yet they claim adding ONE (1) White, Black, Asian or Latino student destroys the school’s mission to provide Kanaka students an “opportunity to thrive,” and further “Native Hawaiian self-determination, cultural survival and justice.” How? Explain.
The Democratic Party of Hawai’i now stands in solidarity with Kamehameha Schools, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and the people working to protect this “sacred legacy.” Sacred legacy? Princess Bernice Pauahi Pākī Bishop did not mandate students be ONLY Kanaka.
Comparatively, Charlie Kirk wants to provide Christian White students an “opportunity to thrive,” further “White Folk self-determination, cultural survival and justice.” Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it. The president and MAGA coalition stood in solidarity with Charlie, Turning Point USA, and the people working to protect this sacred legacy. Kooks.

I consider Charlie Kirk, Turning Point USA and supporters to be weak people and losers. They are afraid of immigrants and people who have different values than they do. Most Americans are immigrants. America is a nation of people with different values. One value we all share is the RIGHT to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. This is how we define freedom.
Similarly, I consider Kamehameha Schools to be weak people and losers. They are afraid of immigrants and people who have different values than they do. Most Native Hawaiians (Kanaka) are immigrants. They came from many different islands to get to Hawai’i. Hawai’i is an archipelago of islands full of people with different values. One value we all share is aloha — a promise for the entire nation and world: that peoples of different races and creeds can live together, enriching each other in harmony and peaceful self-governance, to further Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Americans and Native Hawaiians (Kanaka) are very much the same, as we immigrated from many parts of the world. Charlie Kirk and Kamehameha Schools are also very much the same, as they spread fear and hate. Charlie Kirk was killed for his hateful rhetoric. Let’s hope Kamehameha Schools changes their hateful rhetoric. Enough of the killing. Let’s live aloha.
