Beginning in the late 1800s, the USA entered a phase of rapid economic growth. American wages grew much faster than those in Europe, industrialization demanded increased skilled workers, and millions of Europeans migrated to the new world. Railroads, factories, oil, mining and finance grew in importance. Unions also rose in power.
The label, Gilded Age, originated from a Mark Twain novel that satirized the post Civil War “golden age” and masked serious social problems by a “thin gold golden of economic expansion.” [source] Critics considered the Gilded Age as a pejorative term for a time of materialistic excesses and widespread political corruption.
President FELON RAPIST 47 has lined the Oval Office in gold, lined his personal pockets in cash and engaged in unbridled political corruption. For example, he has misled the American public about a “gift” of a Boeing 747-8 to the U.S. Air Force from Qatar, a stretch model of the jumbo that is more than 18ft longer than the much older 747-200B; plans for taxpayers to spend over a billion dollars to retrofit the plane for Air Force 1 purposes; and then donate the luxury plane to the Trump President Foundation.
Remains unclear how this gift does not violate The Emoluments Clause, found in Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution that restrict the President to receive benefits from foreign or domestic sources.
Stop Injustice in America
Yesterday, Shannon Cox asked readers to revisit their commitment to stopping injustice in America. Research this period. Due to the industrial revolution, factory owners were becoming obscenely rich. He wants to bring back manufacturing.
The nation collected funds to run our government from TARIFFS. He is using tariffs and boasted of these funds at this time. The media isn’t covering the cost to the American Middle class due to tariffs. I am.
There was NO INCOME tax; he doesn’t want income taxes. Income tax began in 1913. Now, 70% of income taxes are paid by the Most Rich; his tax cuts benefit the Most Rich. If can, he will end income taxes all together.
Tariff taxes are paid most heavily by the Middle Class and poor. They are REGRESSIVE — hurt those most at the bottom. Income taxes are PROGRESSIVE — take most from the wealthy.
FELON RAPIST 47 is creating Generational Wealth for his family and friends. You will get an extra $750 this year. Enjoy your Happy Meal. And, yes, a federal appeals court upheld the civil jury verdict than found the FELON RAPIST liable for sexually abusing and defaming E. Jean Carroll.
Herbert Hoover is famous for implementing the Smoot-Hawley tariffs. Remember Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? This followed this Gilded Age, which led to the GREAT DEPRESSION … Black Friday, October 1929.
His tariffs hurt the Middle Class and deepened the depression. USA didn’t emerge from the depression until 1946 or so. Some 20 years !!!
AI is a threat to Middle Class families and workers. The Most Rich are becoming obscenely wealthy again; FELON RAPIST 47 gives them more; makes us pay tariff taxes. Americans have paid $300 BILLION in just four months.
Extreme weather threatens ALL of us, but the Most Wealthy families are protected. We are not. We suffered WAR against nature with the pandemic; we’re at WAR with nature at this time. These disasters will kill many. They are also raising our insurance costs and costs for government.
You claim it will swing back. Yes, nature swung back but the dinosaurs didn’t survive. Human Beings are fragile creatures. We can’t adapt to extremes in weather. Yes, nature will swing back; human beings will not.
Election 2024 was the GREATEST disaster in Human history. All we had to do was vote. Look around, 2025 is the BEST year of the next 50 YEARS.
